Jerod started back into school yesterday and has a fairly busy schedule. This first semester of his Psychiatric Technician program is exactly the same as the first semester of the LVN (Licenced Vocational Nurse) program, so it's a little intense. He has super long days on Mondays and Fridays from 6:45 am to 3:00 pm. In a few weeks these will be his clinical days where he works at the hospital, but for now they are his lab days where they are learning new skills. Yesterday he learned about Universal Precautions and how to wash your hands. I know that probably sounds pretty boring, but I share it because it's a little nostalgic for me since it was the exact same thing I first learned in my lab for my nursing program.
This summer (wow, it's weird to think that summer is over) Elijah and I went on a couple of "swim days" with the other moms in our church. Our friend Wendy held a couple of swim days at her pool and also has a beautiful golden retriever named Baxter which Elijah absolutely loves.
Just the other day Elijah was eating some pasta while I was finishing up the dishes. I come back to clean him up and this is what I discovered.
