Brushing Our Teeth

For awhile now I've been wanting to get a proper toothbrush for Elijah instead of wiping his teeth and gums with a washcloth like we've been doing for a year now. It's dangerous on one's fingers when you're trying to clean a mouth with 8 teeth! ;-)

Jerod's mom came home from the dentist yesterday with one of those free kid's toothbrushes they hand out and gave it to Eli. This morning was our first time trying to use it. I think he bites down on the bristles more than anything else, but at least he's getting practice with a brush.

Jerod had a lot of cavities growing up and I know that sort of thing can be genetic, so we'll start early on good dental hygiene.
