Cousins!

We had a fantastic 4th of July this year as our family came down from Oregon for a whole week to visit (this is Jerod’s brother Mike, his wife Amy, and our adorable nephew Josiah). Josiah is only 7 months older than Elijah and the two of them are fast friends and love playing together.

We had such a wonderfully busy week doing so many things with the boys. We went to Chuck E. Cheese’s, Great America, to the beach, to the park, to Happy Hollow and swimming. We packed in so many activities into such a short time that I’ve never seen Elijah sleep so well at night or during his nap times. Whenever he would wake up, Josiah was the first thing he would say, and the last thing on his mind before he went to sleep. It was very special to see these cousins interact.

To share the fun these two had, here are a few pictures:
Riding the fire truck at Chuck E. Cheese's
Shooting water at the targets with dad
Enjoying Chuck E. Cheese's with Grandma and Grandpa
At the park
Had to pose with Snoopy at Great America
The sisters with their boys on the Carousel at Great America
Every time the boys get together, Grandma buys them matching outfits. Aren't they just so cute?!
Josiah did really well with rock climbing at Happy Hollow
Elijah didn't want to try out all the rides like his cousin did, so here is the most adorable picture of my sweet nephew.
Giving each other high tens on their daddy's shoulders
Mike and Josiah. What a handsome pair.

Our family at the beach (it was Elijah's first time and he was super cold and not too sure about the waves at first, so that's why he has a funny look on his face).
