Bethlehem Experience

Every year the Santa Clara First Baptist Church puts on an amazing production called the Bethlehem Experience. They convert part of their church grounds into the small town of Bethlehem and put on the whole story of Jesus' birth, complete with Roman guards, donkeys, camels, and some very cool fire dancing (we were a little late to see the fire dancing so I didn't get a picture of that).
When we got there, we were pleasantly surprised to see some of our friends from church. Elijah was excited to have other children to run around with.
Here the Roman guards are getting people ready for the census.
Mary and Joseph arrive into Bethlehem looking for a place to stay.
Megan was excited about the donkey.
Daddy became our pack mule ;-)
Elijah and Ella climbed a nearby tree to try and get a better view.
Worshipping the baby Jesus.
Megan getting a better view on Daddy's shoulders.

This is our third year attending The Bethlehm Experience and I completely love it. We didn't stay for very long because it was well past Megan's bed time, but maybe next year we'll be able to stay longer.
