Gift to Others

Today's family activity was to give a gift to someone else in the world. Just a few weeks ago I got a booklet in the mail from TEAM (The Evangelical Alliance Mission) with their Christmas wishlist. I thought it would be fun to browse through the pictures and choose something as a family. I tried to encourage Elijah to pick the computer project for Zimbabwe since we know the missionaries that work at the Harare Theological College, but since he's more kid-oriented, he chose "soccer balls and uniforms" for a soccer camp in North Asia as well as "bags of chocolate chips for cookies" for a cafe in Japan. It was very cool to think of how we might help people around the world.

After our family activity, Elijah decided to help me vacuum. He's so cute to watch. Because he's not very tall, whenever he holds the handle, the top of the vacuum tilts up so he doesn't really actually suck up much dirt from the carpet, but I'm so proud of him for trying and very grateful for his little heart that wants to help!

Elijah has also gotten into building space ships these days and I just had to post this one because of the name he gave it...it's called "The Savior." So awesome!
